Our Range of Inverter Heat Pumps.

We are proud to announce that our innovative high-tech range of inverter heat pumps has arrived.

These units are extremely cost-effective in comparison to the standard heat pump range currently on offer in South Africa.

Our inverter range of heat pumps offer the following:

  • ECO-Friendly R32 refrigerant
  • Are 30 – 40% more cost-effective to run.
  • Offer a significantly higher COP(Co-efficient of Performance)
  • Longer life span
  • Four settings of performance
  • Can be run off correctly sized off the grid solar systems
  • Wi-Fi Technology

How they work

A standard pool heat pump or fixed output unit will work continuously at 100% power output until the desired temperature is obtained. These units will then cycle on and off causing were and tear to the components plus electrical wear on wires, circuit breakers, etc.

However, an inverter uses a variable DC compressor and fan motor. The built-in technology modulates the speed of the compressor and fan to maintain the exact required temperature, thus using a lot less power overall and avoiding the on/off cycle as with fixed unit heat pumps.

This is why they are the most effective, efficient and affordable way of heating your swimming pool all year round.

For bigger pools we can combine more than one unit to reach the pool heating capacity

    How Pool Heaters work

Swimming pool heat pumps are a super efficient way of heating your pool. Our heat pumps use advanced refrigeration technology to capture heat from the atmosphere and transfer it to your pool.

As the pool pump circulates the pool water, the water passes through the heat exchanger. The heat pump has a fan which draws in the outside air and directs it over the evaporator coil of the heat pump. Liquid refrigerant  (R410 which is eco- friendly and non- polluting is used in our heaters)  within the coil absorbs this heat. In this process the refrigerant is turned into a warm gas. This warm gas then passes through the compressor. The compressor then superheats this gas, this is then passed into the condenser of the heat pump. The condenser then transfers this heat via the heat exchanger to your pool water. This cycle is repeated over and over thus causing the heating of your pool water.

Efficiency of a Pool Heater or COP (Co-efficient of performance)

All heat pumps have a COP rating this is the efficiency that the heat pumps run at. Our heat pumps have a minimum COP of 5, this means for every R1.00 you spend on electricity you get R5.00 of heating power in your pool water (R4.00 heating for free!!)

    Swimming Pool Heaters

Pool heaters are the best way to supply all year round heating to your swimming pool. Swimming is the most recommended method of keeping your health in check so turn your swimming pool into an all year round fun way of staying fit.

    Pool Heaters vs Solar Panels

Solar panels are cheaper but will only supply you heating in Summer when you probably do not need it and very little heat in either Autumn or Spring and no heating in Winter, alternatively heat pumps will allow you to swim all year round.
